នៅថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ ២០២៦ មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជា ខេត្តព្រៃវែង បានទទួលស្វាគមន៍ សិស្សានុសិស្សចំនួន ១១ នាក់ (ប្រុសទាំង ១១ នាក់) មកពីសាលាវិទ្យាល័យព្រះអង្គឌួង និង សាលាអនុវិទ្យាល័យ អនុវត្ត ខេត្តព្រៃវែង។ សិស្សានុសិស្ស បានស្នើសុំ ក្រុមការងារមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលឯកសារកម្ពុជា ខេត្តព្រៃវែង ឱ្យចាក់បញ្ចាំងខ្សែភាពយន្តឯកសារ «កុំស្មាន បងភ្លេច ខ្មែរបាត់បង់តន្រ្តីរ៉ក់។
មុននឹងចូលទស្សនាខ្សែភាពយន្តឯកសារ សិស្សានុសិស្សបានចំណាយពេលវេលារយៈពេលខ្លី អានសៀវភៅ និង ដើរទស្សនាផ្ទាំងរូបភាពពិព័រណ៍អចិន្ត្រៃយ៍ ទាំងក្នុង និង ក្រៅការិយាល័យ ស្តីពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រខ្មែរក្រហម។ ចំពោះការទស្សនាផ្ទាំងរូបភាពពិព័រណ៍អចិន្ត្រៃយ៍ សិស្សឈ្មោះ ស្រ៊ឺ វីរៈ ភេទប្រុស អាយុ ១៧ ឆ្នាំ រៀន ថ្នាក់ទី ១២ នៃវិទ្យាល័យព្រះអង្គឌួង បាននិយាយរៀបរាប់ពីអ្វីដែលខ្លួនបានដឹងខ្លះៗ ទាក់ទងនឹង ដំណើររបស់សម្តេច តេជោហ៊ុនសែន ធ្វើដំណើរឆ្ពោះទៅកាន់ប្រទេសវៀតណាម ជាមួយសមាជិកចំនួន ៤ នាក់ ដើម្បីបង្កើតកងទ័ពរណសិរ្យសាមគ្គីសង្គ្រោះជាតិកម្ពុជា សហការជាមួយកងទ័ពវៀតណាម ដើម្បីមកផ្តួលរំលំរបបខ្មែរក្រហម។
បន្ទាប់ពីសិស្សានុសិស្សបានអានសៀវភៅ និង ដើរទស្សនាផ្ទាំងរូបភាពពិព័រណ៍អចិន្ត្រៃយ៍រួច ក្រុមការងារបានចាក់បញ្ចាំងខ្សែភាពយន្តឯកសារ «កុំស្មាន បងភ្លេច ខ្មែរបាត់បង់តន្រ្តីរ៉ក់។ សិស្សានុសិស្សបានទស្សនានូវខ្សែភាពយន្តឯកសារ ដោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ និង ស្ងៀមស្ងាត់ ហើយ ទោះបីជា សិស្សានុសិស្សពុំបានទស្សនារហូតដល់ចប់ ប៉ុន្តែនៅក្នុងខ្សែភាពយន្តឯកសារនេះ បានបង្កប់នូវបរិបទប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រ ពីមួយដំណាក់កាលទៅមួយដំណាក់កាល ដែលអាចឱ្យសិស្សស្វែងយល់ពីព្រឹត្តិការណ៍នីមួយៗ ជាពិសេស ទាក់ទងនឹងវិស័យសិល្បៈ ឬ បទចម្រៀងរបស់ខ្មែរ ដែលបានបាត់បង់ និង បានផ្លាស់ប្តូរទៅតាមសម័យកាល ចាប់ពីសម័យសង្គមរាស្ត្រនិយម, សម័យ លន់ នល់ ហើយនៅក្នុងសម័យខ្មែរក្រហម គឺបទចម្រៀងជាប្រភេទស្នេហា និង បទចម្រៀងជាប្រភេទ ចង្វាក់ញាក់កន្រ្តាក់អារម្មណ៍ ត្រូវបានខ្មែរក្រហម បំផ្លាញស្ទើរតែទាំងអស់ ហើយជំនួសមកវិញ នូវបទចម្រៀងស្នេហាជាតិដែលខ្មែរក្រហមបាននិពន្ធឡើង។ លើសពីនេះ ក្រៅពីបទចម្រៀងដែលត្រូវបានបំផ្លាញ តារាងចម្រៀងកំពូលតាំងពីសម័យសង្គមរាស្ត្រនិយម ត្រូវខ្មែរក្រហម យកទៅសម្លាប់ស្ទើរតែទាំងអស់។
On May 20, 2026, the Prey Veng Documentation Center welcomed 11 students (all male) from Preah Ang Duong High School and Aknukwat Secondary School in Prey Veng Province. The students requested the staff of the Prey Veng Documentation Center to screen the documentary film “Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock and Roll.”
Before watching the documentary film, the students spent a short time reading books and viewing the permanent exhibition panels inside and outside the office, which focus on the history of the Khmer Rouge. During the exhibition viewing, a student named Srue Virak, male, 17 years old, studying in grade 12 at Preah Ang Duong High School, shared some of what he had learned about the journey of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who traveled to Vietnam with four members to form the United Front for the National Salvation of Kampuchea, in cooperation with the Vietnamese army, to overthrow the Khmer Rouge regime.
After reading books and visiting the permanent exhibition panels, the staff screened the documentary film“Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock and Roll.” The students watched attentively and quietly. Although they did not watch the film until the end, the documentary film contained historical context from one stage to another, allowing the students to learn about various events, especially related to the arts and Khmer songs that were lost and transformed over time. These changes spanned from the era of the Sangkum Reastr Niyum, through the Lon Nol period, and during the Khmer Rouge regime, when love songs and emotionally stirring rock rhythms were almost entirely destroyed. They were replaced by patriotic songs composed by the Khmer Rouge. Moreover, beyond the destruction of songs, many of the top singers from the Sangkum Reastr Niyum era were executed by the Khmer Rouge.
