Research Group on Khmer Rouge History

To ensure that history is not lost, warped, or censured, we propose a project that will culminate in the establishment of Research Group on Khmer Rouge History in Cambodia which will be organized from our strong grassroots network with independent and credible researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, former teachers and survivors. This project will shape the public’s understanding of history, and inject independent, historical commentary into culture and news, through grassroots-driven research, formal news releases, and social media activities. In the end, we aim to create new, credible, and most importantly, sustainable sources of public information that stand outside of government channels.
