DC-Cam: The Prekte bridge and the capture of Battambang [Province] 1946
On December 8, 1946, the first elements of the French troops, led by Colonel Simon, crossed the old border imposed by Siam; a boundary marker located in the village of Svay Dan Keo marked the limit. A bridge had been sabotaged by Khmer Issaraks, thus delaying the advance of the French troops. 15-CWT trucks were then parked on the side of the road. General de Jonquière, after signing the official record of the return of the territories, greeted the Siamese governor. On the banks of Battambang, LCI amphibious landing craft landed to secure the approaches to the city.

នៅថ្ងៃទី៨ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៤៦ កងកម្លាំងដំបូងបង្អស់នៃកងទ័ពបារាំង ដឹកនាំដោយ វរសេនីយ៍ឯក ស៊ីមន បានឆ្លងកាត់ព្រំដែនចាស់ដែលកំណត់ដោយសៀម ដោយមានបង្គោលសីមាមួយដើមស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភូមិស្វាយដូនកែវជាចំណុចសម្គាល់ព្រំដែន។ ស្ពានមួយត្រូវបានបំផ្លាញដោយក្រុមខ្មែរឥស្សរៈ ដូច្នេះវាបានធ្វើឱ្យរាំងស្ទះដល់ការធ្វើដំណើរទៅមុខរបស់កងទ័ពបារាំង។ រថយន្តដឹកជញ្ជូនប្រភេទ 15-CWT នាពេលនោះត្រូវបានចតទុកនៅតាមចិញ្ចើមផ្លូវ។ លោកសេនាប្រមុខ ដេ ហ្សង់ឃ្វែរ បន្ទាប់ពីបានចុះហត្ថលេខាលើកំណត់ហេតុផ្លូវការស្តីពីការប្រគល់ទឹកដីត្រឡប់មកវិញ រួចហើយមក លោកក៍បានសម្តែងគារវកិច្ចចំពោះអភិបាលសៀម។ នៅតាមច្រាំងដងស្ទឹងបាត់ដំបង នាវាចម្បាំង ធុនធំបានចូលចតដើម្បីការពារសន្តិសុខនៅតំបន់ជុំវិញទីក្រុងបាត់ដំបង។
